Child Care Solutions has a database that contains information on more than 1300 child care options in Onondaga County including child care centers, in-home family child care, school-age programs, nursery schools, summer camps, nanny and au pair placement agencies.  Because we are part of a statewide network of Child Care Resource & Referral agencies, we have access to information on child care options in surrounding counties as well.

When parents call, we listen to their concerns, respond to questions and provide support and information through telephone consultation and written materials.  We carry out the time-consuming tasks of collecting information on specific programs and verifying openings so that parents can focus their search on those child care options that meet their criteria.

Our goal is to engage parents in a child care planning process that takes into consideration their needs and the needs of their children and results in a comfortable match.  All employees who use our service are contacted as a follow up on their progress toward finding satisfactory care.  We continue to work with parents until a care decision has been made.
