Up to date advice and information on the health and well being of children.  
 

Is announcing the creation of their Parent Advocacy program.  This program will offer FREE and confidential services to families with children ages 0-21 with any type of disability.  Services include help with the Committee on Special Education, working with your school district and understanding your child's rights.  For additional information you can contact Tracey Menapace at (315) 423-0100 ext. 10.

Mission: The Central New York Coalition for Young Children with Special Needs is committed to providing leadership and support for quality therapeutic and educational services for children and their families.

They believe that a child's development is best supported through family centered services provided in the environment that best matches the child's strengths and needs.

New York State has a health insurance plan for kids, called Child Health Plus.  Depending on your family’s income, your child may be eligible to join either Child Health Plus A (formerly Children’s Medicaid) or Child Health Plus B.  Both Child Health Plus A and B are available through dozens of providers throughout the state.  Enrolling in Child Health Plus is easy.
 
Welcome to the Children's Defense Fund
Mission Statement "The mission of the Children's Defense Fund (CDF) is to Leave No Child Behind® and to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities."
 

CDF provides a strong, effective voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for themselves.  They pay attention to the needs of poor and minority children and those with disabilities.  CDF educates the nation about the needs of children and encourages preventive investment before they get sick or into trouble, drop out of school, or suffer family breakdown.

CDF began in 1973 and is a private, nonprofit organization supported by foundations, corporation grants and individual donations.  We have never taken government funds.
 

Connect for Kids is an award-winning multimedia project to help adults make their communities better places for families and children.  Their Web site offers a place on the Internet for adults—parents, grandparents, educators, policymakers and others—who want to become more active citizens, from volunteering to voting with kids in mind.  
 

Is a regional clearinghouse providing information, referral and support to families, professionals, and community agencies concerned with young children birth to five who may have a special need.  The agency works closely with families, professionals and community agencies to provide unbiased information so that informed choices can be made about coordinated and sensible services.
 
Mission: of the Every Child Matters Education Fund is to help push children's many needs to a higher place on the country's political and policy agenda. The Every Child Matters Education Fund conducts polls, publishes reports, works with reporters and state children's groups, runs advertising, and conducts campaigns on behalf children.

NACCRRA is a recognized leader in the Early Childhood field, and  provides technical consultation and resources to member child care resource and referral agencies.

The National Resource Center is located at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado, and is funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, HRSA. NRC's primary mission is to promote health and safety in out-of-home child care settings throughout the nation.
 

NCCIC

 

National Child Care Information Center

The National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC), a project of the Child Care Bureau, Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is a national resource that links information and people to complement, enhance, and promote the child care delivery system, working to ensure that all children and families have access to high-quality comprehensive services.

They also offer an Online Library which contains information of interest to policy-makers, administrators, practitioners, parents, researchers and other members of the child care community.  Currently the library contains 2,000 records and provides direct links to full-text documents.

 

Located in the center of New York State, Onondaga County is home to the city of Syracuse.  We are within 350 miles of all major cities in the Northeast, conveniently situated at the intersection of Interstate Highways 81 and 90 (NYS Thruway).  Local Amtrak and Greyhound terminals are located in our new Regional Transportation Center.  Arriving by air brings you in to the newly remodeled Hancock International Airport, while the New York State Barge Canal System provides local connection by boat to the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River.
