Community Child Care Scholarship Program

Funded by the United Way of CNY and administered by Child Care Solutions, this program is designed to help moderate income working parents to pay for child care.  Scholarships range from $20 - $50 per week and may be used only at licensed, not-for-profit child care centers.  Families can qualify for scholarships for one or two children.

You may be eligible for a Community Child Care Scholarship if:

bullet

You are a resident of Onondaga County

You are a single parent working 30 or more hours per week or are a parent in a dual income household in which each parent works more than 30 hours per week

bullet

** Please note:  If your family income is less than the minimum income listed above, you may be eligible for a child care subsidy through the Onondaga County Department of Social Services.  These subsidies can be used to pay for any form of child care - centers, school-age, family child care or even a trusted friend or relative.  For more information and an application, call the Onondaga County Day Care Unit at 435-5683.
