First Step To Family Child Care

A Workshop for people interested
in providing child care in their home

If you have been thinking about a career in family child care and need more information before making a decision, this could be the session for you. The workshop is designed to help you determine if home based child care is right for you.

Topics Covered Include:

  • Legal forms of child care in NYS

  • Responsibilities and advantages of being a registered provider

  • Tax benefits of being a home based business

  • Marketing strategies & Insurance issues

  • Writing contracts and policies

  • Grant opportunities to help you get started

There is a $5 workshop fee and pre-registration is required.

6:30pm - 8:30pm

We also offer Free technical assistance to review the Registration/License application.  After you receive your application you may give us a call to set up an appointment for this help.
