If you want to become a
registered or licensed family child care provider in New York, you must
successfully complete the Health and Safety training. This 15-hour course was
designed especially for child care providers. It will cover what you
need to know to keep the children you care for safe and healthy. You
will need the certificate from this course to get your registration or
license if you are applying:
to become a registered
family child care provider for the first time.
to become a licensed group
family child care provider for the first time.
for
a new facility number because you are moving.
for a new facility number
because you are changing from registered family child care
to licensed group family child care or vice versa.
Here's What You Need To Know About
Paying For The
Health And Safety Training:
The registration fee is
$50.
This fee
is non-refundable
The rest of the training fee is
$185.
You can pay it in 2 different ways:

registered or licensed, you can get a rebate directly from the
state. This way you get your money back!
